Investing in Human Potential
I provide individual counseling for ages 14 and up. Appointments are scheduled in office or on Telehealth through SimplePractice. I have contracts with the following insurance plans: Aetna, BCBS, Magellan, McLaren, Priority Health, TriWest, and United Healthcare. If you are in-network I will submit claims to your plan directly. The 60-minute intake session to determine diagnosis will be billed at $200, subsequently 45-minute sessions are $150 and 60-minute sessions are $175. It is your responsibility to contact your plan to determine copay/coinsurance and deductible information.
If I do not contract with your plan and you have out-of-network benefits your insurance may reimburse part of your expense and I can provide a Superbill of payments you have made to submit for reimbursement.
If you prefer not to use insurance, a self-pay agreement at a reduced per session rate will be established.
Copay/coinsurance, deductible, and self-pay sessions are payable by cash, check, or credit/debit card.
Although I may utilize several theoretical approaches, my core beliefs are strengths-based and nonjudgmental. You are the expert on your life and family. Through the counseling relationship, we will work together to identify goals. I will find ways to teach you new skills that are relevant to your unique situation.
Regarding legal issues: I do not participate in child custody hearings as a witness. I do not make custody recommendations for ongoing clients. I do not complete child custody evaluations. If you have a legal issue and require verification of treatment, I can report the dates that counseling was attended and if the treatment plan was completed.
